As a software engineer working 8 hours * 5 days, what are various ways I can make income ? : passive_income

I’m in a similar boat. I’m a senior programmer with a wealth of experience, so I think my best option would be to make software. I do have some ideas for tools, apps and games.

The problem I have is, after working 8 hours, 5 days a week, I’m fucking exhausted and just want to chill and rest. I don’t think I have ever recovered from the burnout I experienced about 4/5 years ago.

Also I felt quite a bit disheartened by my timekeeping/productivity tracking app that failed to bring any revenue, despite paid advertising and free give aways on reddit and other social media. It took a lot of effort to make in a programming language I wasn’t familiar with, or particularly liked, so I felt like the cost vs reward wasn’t enough.
