Printable Thanksgiving Activities for Kids

It’s the perfect way to have them enjoy the holiday while understanding the importance of being thankful for what they have.

My boys love doing activities that are related to the holiday. Especially when they get to be creative with it instead of just coloring.

It’s one of the reasons why I made this activity set.

Sometimes, it can be hard to find activities that all of my kids not only enjoy but will actually do together. Now that they are getting a little bit older it’s kind of tough to make printables that can cater to all of them.

In this activity set, you will see things for all ages.

There’s just something so special about Thanksgiving.

I think it’s because it reminds people to stop and think about everything they are thankful for. Instead of focusing on ourselves, it’s a time for giving and helping others.

We often go through life at such a fast pace that we don’t take the time to reflect on helping and giving as much as we should. You may also be interested in our Gratitude Journal.

This Printable Thanksgiving Activity Pack comes with:

  • Thanksgiving Placemat – This is so much fun! Kids can go through the maze, fill out the word scramble, play tic-tac-toe and fill in what they are thankful for. This is geared more toward older children. It is fun and will still keep their attention. They can also color all of the Thanksgiving-themed images throughout the placemat.

  • Turkey Color by Number – Kids can color in the turkey while learning to recognize their numbers. You can help them with the numbers if they don’t know them yet, but it is a great way for them to identify the numbers that coordinate for each color.

  • Gratitude Leaves – This is a mini-project that they can complete for Thanksgiving. Includes a color version and a black-and-white version. Have the child fill in what they are thankful for and then cut out each leaf. It can be a single word or an entire sentence they write on the leaves. You can print out as many copies as you’d like.

  • Gratitude Tree – After they have cut out the leaves, they can glue them onto the gratitude tree to finish the project.

You will also notice an EXAMPLE page of what the tree can look like when it is finished.
