In this era of the Great Resignation, it might come as a shock that some people actually like their jobs — or at least, the pay that goes with them.
Recently, LinkedIn surveyed more than 32,000 professionals in the U.S. as part of the company’s Workforce Confidence Index. Participants were asked to report how they feel about their current pay.
A surprising 49% of those American workers said they are happy with their pay and feel well compensated for the work they do. And in 13 jobs, more than 50% of workers said they felt that way.
Following are the professions where workers are most satisfied with their compensation.
1. Product management
Employees in this job function who feel well-compensated for their work: 62%
In product management, you are responsible for shepherding a product through its lifecycle, from beginning to end. That can include everything from developing the product to eventually deciding on a price point as it is introduced into the market.
It’s a big job, and it gets appropriate pay. A senior product manager can make close to $200,000, according to Glassdoor.
Employees in this job function who feel well-compensated for their work: 60%
Glassdoor says engineers make around $80,000 on average, and that salary can rise to $133,000 and beyond for some.
Engineers can specialize in many fields, and they dominate a recent list of the best jobs in America.
3. Real estate
Employees in this job function who feel well-compensated for their work: 59%
Real estate agents can make a surprising amount of money — around $147,000 per year, Glassdoor says.
However, with the housing market entering a deep freeze, we’ll see how long agents maintain that income — and their enthusiasm.
