Here’s some good news for parents of future bookworms—and booklovers in general: the Reading Rainbow series is coming back to television! In this article Writer’s Relief found at lithub.com, we learned the original series, hosted by LeVar Burton, ran on PBS from 1983 to 2006, and won 26 Emmys. While Burton won’t be back for the new version of Reading Rainbow, a diverse group of young performers will take over hosting duties. There are even plans to add an interactive element to the show!
